Chris Morgan
I am a qualified and registered senior social worker specialising in working with adolescents & adults with higher functioning autism. I left Social Services in Aug 2008 and gathering some like minded, committed people, we set up the NO LIMITS Community Project which became a charity 0n 2nd Jan. 2009. I also have my own Training & Consultancy business mostly related to autism training programmes and workshops but includes other training for students with special needs.

Five years ago, whilst working for Social Services, aided by Frank, I set up the Dudley Autistic Resource Team (DART) Project developing services and resources. I compiled the Dudley 3year Autism Strategy 2007-2010 which was accepted by council cabinet and select committee.

Two and a half years ago I set up the Autism Task Group of 15 members drawn from a wide range of professionals across the private, public and voluntary sector. The Task Group feeds the various Partnership Boards to raise the profile of autism on their agendas and with the responsibility of implementing the strategy. .

Before this I was a senior social worker with Dudley Social Services Adult Care Team. Prior to this I worked as a senior social worker for 5 years as a member of a multi disciplinary team at City Hospital Birmingham. I have worked in child care as a senior social worker in Sandwell.

I am a qualified teacher and began my working life as a teacher in a special education unit in Dudley working with pupils excluded from mainstream school who were predominantly on the autistic spectrum.
